Tom jewels new gun
« on: May 09, 2013, 12:41:45 PM »

Here's a new bat for our pro Tom Jewell Surrey ccc its just a slightly altered shape from the usual supreme predominantly for one day stuff. He is quite tall and uses a standard sh but finds he hits the ball low in the blade so I have extended the middle down the bat for him. Still 2-9 and feels a good un

I see he's getting a game for Surrey against Durham in the YB40 today.
Has he got his new gun yet?

That looks fantastic.

A subtle change to the swell.
Has it changed the pick-up? I recall Gary @Choice explaining how to get a good balance and an even distribution of weight was very important. That profile looks slightly smoother.

If it does make a difference then I may be having that for my next Aldred.

Great work Paul.

I saw this bat on Monday at the surrey vs scotland match, I saw it when he was walking out to bat as we were a few meters from both teams dugouts. It looked very nice  indeed, the profile looked very laverish when he walked out to bat. Looked really impressive! Also saw Jon lewis's aedos bat that was also impressive
