As rain has spoilt todays play. I wanted to share these images with you all.
After selling my unused 2lb 10oz M&H Distinction (to a friend who had just lost their beloved Solution) and with a large discount (offered by an online retailer), I decided that I had enough excuses to make one more purchase this season.
Spec: 2lb 8.7oz (purchased as 2lb 9oz), with an oval/short handle.
Looks: 10, clean and dead straight grains, which run all the way through the bat.
Ping: Surprisingly the pressing seemed a little hard, but off the mallet it still sounded really good. After the knocking in process (thanks Paul @ IJC), the grains started opening up very nicely and now 'played in' the bat is very responsive.
The bats pickup is just beautiful and it's gorgeously well balanced.
The finishing is also top draw and probably the best out of all bats I've owned. The AJK/Salix brand certainly lives up to its reputation for quality of finish!
