Just adding to this - another cheap 5 for for Steyn today, this time in Sri Lanka

We really are lucky to be able to watch him play!

Obviously there hasn't been much coverage on the forum on this match. Nice to see Duminy get a hundred, bats like Hussey with the tail

Dale Steyn was near unplayable today.

Unfortunately he re-injured his bowling hand and was unable to bowl with the second new ball.

It's uncertain whether he can bowl in the second innings.

This 5 wicket bag was Steyn's fifth in Asia.

2 in SL, 2 in IND and 1 in PAK

He's a master.

It's a shame that SA have been caught ball tampering again on the subcontinent.
Second time philinder's done it, yet only a 75% match fee fine. No wonder he continues

He really is on another planet. Any other fast bowler would be struggling on the Sri Lankan flat tracks and complaining about the conditions, but he just goes out there, bowls and shreds batting line ups. Really is one of my favourite sportsperson-as long as there's a ball in his hand he'll take wickets.

Dale Steyn backed up his 5/54 with 4/45 in the second innings.

9/99 match figures are the best ever by a fast bowler at Galle.

Freakishly great.

Yeah good stuff in second innings considering there was no ball tampering involved .. or they were clever enough not to get caught this time.

cant really imagine that the ball tampering was that bad? No bottle tops?  - is there a video, or report about it anywhere?

Ball tampering is ball tampering.. there is no two ways about it , current 75% match fee fine is a joke considering Anderson and Jadeja going to get match bans for a spat outside the ground , ball tampering effects the match conditions so it should be match bans.

or just legalise ball tampering so everyone has a level field to play with.

Scratching the ball with his finger and thumb. Didn't contest and took the 75% fine.

I'm very disappointed in Philander

We've won pretty much everywhere without tampering with the ball so why do it now?
