At Frampton did you play on the green by the pub?
Played a Sunday game there once, tried to avoid batting at one end as I was worried I'd kill someone in the pub garden! Think we paced the square boundary out at 23 yards on the (marginally) shorter side, ridiculous. League games on there must be silly.

As for worst ground I've played on - my current home pitch. Makes me question why I play there almost every home game.

East Coker. We were bowled out for 40. Unfortunately A few days ago they folded which is still a shame. Other nightmare grounds include anywhere on the Somerset levels in April after heavy rain. I remember east huntspill being particularly boggy.

Ha there's no point denying it is there! Oh for the days of playing village cricket in my summers when it seemed like almost every ground was lovely.

Sadly we aren't blessed with too many grounds of great beauty in our league

Two Grounds.

Moggerhanger - we were all out for 42 batting first, bowled them out for 16, first ball of their reply went for 6 too.
Kempston Police - We were all out for 38 and won by 16 runs.

Both were simply shocking.

Played at some shockers which were mainly parks pitches inc west Smethick park  and Wollescote park no facilities artificial wickets when batting at Wollescote Park the slope towards square leg was so steep all you could see was the fielders cap.

Oohh

Woodpeckers and ullemwood Bharat. I've simply stated I'll never play at those ground again even if it means missing a match. So bad and un enjoyable I'd rather they were relegated or promoted and I couldn't care which (not that they have ever been in my division but if they were)

Played a game against a Castle Bromwich side- possibly 3rd team. 'Pavillion' (a brick outhouse of sorts) was locked, and was adorned with National Front graffiti including a swastika. The pitch was an absolute bog (I batted for 15 overs for about 15 runs) and I nearly got into a fight with the opposing captain. And I never get in fights.

The worst thing was the tea- a pack of Asda Smart Price crisps each. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd rather they hadn't bothered.

Warlingham 3XI, on a dog-poo riddled, windswept, featureless park at the top of a hill.

6 a side football tournament taking place on the square prior to the match, and a Diplodocus turd deposited at midwicket.

No showers, inedible tea and infant school sized chairs to sit on.

We won though!!

Played an early season university game against Imperial College London at Harlington Sports Ground which is where QPR train so you can imagine is never ideal when its multipurpose. The wicket hadn't been rolled/watered since the weekend (university games take place on Wednesday afternoons). The changing room was in a maze of a sports centre and the showers ended up being about 25m from our changing room which meant a mad dash from the shower back to the room. (One of the lads slipped over  :D :D).

Add to that the fact they didn't have any umpires and they tried to bill us for the tea (BUCS rules say home team provides tea. 3 home 3 away games) meant we were glad we got promoted and don't have to go back this year....

Stafford Grammar School. No sight screens but green all around, motorway on one side and every time I've had to play there it's rained or has rained before the game so it's a mud bath.
