By no means in the same league but Herongate in Essex has 1 very short boundary due to the A128. Always an argument about who bowled from which end when I played there. https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=CM13+3QB&ll=51.596668,0.351605&spn=0.024339,0.066047&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&hnear=Herongate+CM13+3QB,+United+Kingdom&t=m&z=15&layer=c&cbll=51.598142,0.347434&panoid=MKNbtj2_QfBNDJ1A3GptXA&cbp=12,67.08,,0,1.05

I scored my first ever 50 there... I imagine a lot of players have.  In particular I remember chasing a slower ball, mistiming it for six and missing a car by feet.

The anger shown by our batsmen for getting out cheaply was always memorable.

our 3rdXI were greeted with this yesterday...

[/URL]

we got 70 and bowled them out for 30, unsurprisingly it was an absolute minefield

name and shame the club/ground! They've not even mowed the whole strip, just the middle!

The beautiful Oxfordshire village of Marsh Baldon, is like stepping back in time. Cricket on the village green, surrounded by thatched cottages a wonderful pub, what more could you ask for!!!

a friendly match wicket

A quaint like pavilion

BUT WAIT A MINUTE....................
IS THAT A ROAD THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE PITCH?

Kew has a footpath through it, first class dump by TVL standards.

Pak Shaheen in the Warwickshire League, the outfield is ropey at best, and the wicket is a shocker, or it was on Saturday anyway. The first ball of our innings was a length ball that cleared the openers head by a foot! One ball would fly, and the next one smack you on the ankle, truly shocking!

Pak Shaheen is a shocker! did you play there the first season they moved there? Pavilion had no water or electricity and the outfield was just sand. Was 'slightly' better this season.

from what i heard from our lads that played there wasnt even an established wicket, they've just pitched stumps in the middle of a recreation ground, cut it as short as it would go with a lawnmower and rolled it a few times

club is MEB Community Cricket Club that play at the back of an industrial estate in Small Heath, Birmingham

From what I understand Weybridge Vandals are going to struggle to get their pitch ready for the 2014 season.

Kew has a footpath through it, first class dump by TVL standards.

Played there last year. Hated it. Ground is ridiculously small too (Many mistimed 6s).

Area is great though.

Hillingdon Manor has a path going through it too. Really high standards in the TVCL these days.

Seen people given 2s or 3s out of 6, for the pitch, because 'One kept low'... :-[

Erm, Newbery.  Has to be - aside from the long journey, the wicket is terrible, the outfield pretty ropey and the pavilion soulless (and with frogs in the showers!)

Not sure I can think of any others, though there are plenty in the Middlesex Championship.

Remember getting nailed in the grille by a full pitched delivery when we last played them in the league - good to see Charlie Anstey is still taking all their wickets and scoring all their runs.

Have them again this season after the leagues have been redrawn. Should be interesting!
