Maybe just boycott both them and surridge. I know they might have a valid point with SS/TON or whatever but there was no need to contact retailers and demand money. Never will that company see any money from me (even if I have to buy other brands whites and get club badges on them) (I'll also push other clubs not to use surridge

I'm a bit gutted as i have some lovely Surridge 2013 Surrey sweaters and gilets for myself, seems a shame not to wear them.

I think the safest policy is to rename this section Sareen Sports as that is the official company name, as there was no dispute of this in any of the documentation i saw.

Thanks for the update Vitas, sorry to hear you had all this trouble. Sounds like some opportunistic money making stuff from a dying company.

Their alternative "brand" website is hilarious, check out the equipment section which leads you to dodgy socks and shaving cream  :D http://www.stuartsurridge.com/.

Blatant try to justify the tactics they are using with you guys, pretty silly stuff tbh.

All the best

That website shows a cricket manufacturer who has completely lost track on what should be the core of their business.

Stupid comment, they won their court case so they weren't trying to get away with anything! They were proved right in a court of law. As for them sending out letters to the stockists of Ss gear I suggest you read the other thread vitas has linked to. Better to understand than look like a fool. This knocking of what Stuart Surridge has done shows a huge lack of understanding.

Agree with Pedals, Surridge are in the right here, i just really disagree with the way they have gone about things.

Which is sadly more of a reflection on the legal system than anything else!  Not nice to get a letter but when all else fails what else is there?

@pedals

Thanks for the mature response, I shall keep this short as my post was in support and empathy towards Vitas & the rest of the guys affected.

As many other forum members have noted on the other thread, it is a ploy to make some money, are they fools also?

Yes Surridge won a court order to preserve their SS trademark in the UK and that is fine. However to send threatening legal letters to every independent distributor and then asking for all stock to sent to them is not. Please note that Lords was not approached and they are still merrily selling Ton SS bats today on their site, why is that so?

Perhaps your dogmatic approach is because you are somehow related to the brand?

All the best and have a fun weekend playing cricket.

You obviously didn't read the other thread, I suggest you do so. Your initial response suggested a lack of understanding, this response suggests a child who's been called up on their foolishness. And please don't try and patronise me, you're the one who's made themselves look foolish not me! Even the party directly involved agrees that they did nothing wrong! Unless of course you know better than they do?
