Playing a game where it was absolutely chucking it down, batting in the 2nd innings we lost a few early wickets. Rather than come off for rain the opponents wanted to get us all out for more points, and we were trying to push for more batting points. Hit 40no and we won.

Not my highest score, but first match winning knock for my team from me.

I have 3 that stand out for me

Scoring my first run in adult cricket, a flick of the pad for 4 with my uncle who got me into cricket at the other end. I hardly play for that club anymore but I have 44 50's and 8 tons and 8500 runs for them which puts me 2nd on there all time list behind my uncle and they have been going for almost 100 yrs.

My first hundred when I was 17 against Dartford C.C , 108 on a lovely day on a rock hard slightly green track.

Playing for Kent combined league side against Surrey combined league side and scoring 93* and keeping very very well.

Proudest moment for me would have to be my bowling figures of 5-15 (5 overs). I bowled some of my best in that game, swinging inwards and outwards with a few variations.

Batting wise, my best/proudest moment would be getting my first 100 (I eventually got out at 114 off 190 deliveries.)

Proudest moment - Hat-trick on senior debut aged 10. I bet I'll never do it again!

Going into bat at no6 with 13.2 overs to go and the score on 176 for 4.
We finished on 292 for 6/7 off 40 overs and I scored 85 no from 42 balls.
Even sweeter that we went on to win. That was the last season that I played (16 years ago).
On par though, Id say watching my son score his first half ton, opening the batting for our under 13's and scoring 55 not out out of a score of 96.
(55 happened to be the same score that I scored when I got my first half ton, although I was out!)

It has to be my getting in the full Army and the Under 25's squad as a young pup. I didn't keep the stash so sadly have a few holes in my wardrobe. I didn't play, but as a squad member you feel part of the team.

Second is my Army Cup Major Unit's winners medal. We where huge underdogs and beat all comers that year. I've got the score card and report in 'Soldier' Magazine hanging in my loo.

Thirdly, my first season at Hampstead CC I finished third in the entire club averages, scoring 40% of my teams runs. I was beaten by Paul Weekes and the overseas Pro. No disgrace there. I did beat all the other 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and other Sunday team players.

Playing for my club in a cup final at the County Ground, Taunton twice. Despite being underdogs on both occasions we won both finals and were watched by over 100 of our own supporters on each occasion

Where did you used to play mate?  I was at Dartford up until this season, playing at Cobham CC now.

For me it has to my be playing with my old club and going through seven divisions and the last 3 promotions on the bounce including 1 loss in 2 seasons in Division 3 and Division 2 to get into the top league of our evening league locally with a team that started "as something to do in the summer" and then ruffled quite a few established feathers.

Sadly now the club is no longer but some great memories!
