Most I have paid was £300 for a pair of Lavers in a special offer. Then £50 odd customs on top.

I would never pay more than £200

My last 4 (not inc Lavers) have cost

£120
£90
£150
£90
£80

I've forgotten now, but over £300 for my Laver Reserve, closely followed by my Newbery Tour at just a shade under £300... The most I would ever pay is the price for a Screaming Cat, but I don't plan to buy anything that expensive anytime soon haha! I think £200 is a good price for a top bat, as I think my Laver PB is the only other bat to have exceeded this cost. (£220 ish)

  • One hit wonder

Most £75 I think, the most I will pay is around £150, but I think I will wait until my current bats break in half first.

Yes, a bloody rort. Cost an arm and a leg, but the quality isn't anywhere near the same for bats you can get off here for less than half that price.

I know man, thank god for this forum, so happy with my Laver private bin, hand made and custom made and 150 bucks cheaper!

I thought our price of £425 was a bit steep.

Most i've paid is for my Laver Reserve. Thankfully (unless i get tempted into another Laver) the most i will ever have to pay is not that bank breaking as i only pay trade prices :)

I think around £200 is a good price to get a very, very good bat, even from the big manufacturers.

Pretty sure he got it from Morrant

Think my SAF worked out at about £180. Wouldn't want to go more than that really...

£245, and I'm currently trying to recover that as I never received the blinding thing! And that's far more than I would normally spend, but it was money I received for my birthday so it was an exception.

Off the shelf I would pay £160 but maybe a little more for something special. Custom made I would definitely pay £250.

220 GBP inclusive of postage to Oz. A few years ago I would have deemed that way too much, but the Australian dollar has appreciated alot, so it has made it way more affordable (and given those of living in OZ plenty of options!). Funny thing is bats here are still up to $700, when you could buy an equally good or better bat from a custom manufacturer in the UK for the equivalent of $300-350 or thereabouts (and have it made to your personal specs).

Most I'd spend would be around £180, wouldn't pay the >£250 for top of the range bats from major brands though. Especially when you can get better sticks from local/smaller companies who put lots of time and effort in making them cheaper.
