Woodstock Cricket Gear
« on: June 07, 2013, 08:05:12 PM »

Guys, Ive just seen on an old post a link to the Woodstock Gear Website, just wondering if anyone has had any of their gear and whether or not it was any good. Specifically im in need of gloves and a new bag, so if anyone has had any Woodstock gear or just knows someone who has could you let me know if its worth getting some - it does look good on the website. Cheers

Bags I cannot speak for, but I wasn't overly impressed with the gloves.
You can get better quality for the same price

Thats suprising about the gloves, thought they looked pretty decent with the extra padding on the palms but cheers anyway, can you recomend any gloves then?

The gloves look good but wouldn't say they're as good as others. That said I did only buy the Gold, the Platinum look quality to me,
For a similar price to the Gold I'd recommend the Neon gloves, the Chase R7 or if you want to spend a bit more (Platinum price rang) the Chase R11 or Newbery SPS get my vote :)

Alright cheers, yeah the newbury may be a bit out of my price range, but they would definately get my vote - not keen on all the colour you get with other brands like kook and GN

Did you get the bag from the Woodstock website or was it another shop, never seen any of it in any of my local cricket shops

Thats why I like the Chase range as its black white and silver. Neon is basically the same as the R11 glove at a lower price but the pink might not be everyone's cup of tea.

From Woodstock direct, don't think they are stocked by any retailers at the moment.

It does look like a good bag, like how its got plenty of pockets. Really annoys me though how bags like this don't seem to have long straps for carrying on your shoulder anymore.

I like the suit-case style pullys personally but only the really top bucks bags come with them it seems haha

Don't think it has as many pockets as the Woodstock and the bat has to go diagonally across the main department, but I love this bag, plenty of room for what i need and a shoulder strap :)

I was looking at them, but as I have a 1999 Ford Fiesta I'm not blessed with boot space haha, happy with the one I've got and can just about fit 2 bags of that (sensible) size in my boot
