Softs manufacturers
« on: June 11, 2013, 02:22:41 PM »

Having been on the look out recently for some new gloves I've drawn a bit of a blank. Either they look terrible with too much bright colour, the quality has been sacrifised in preference of style and affordability or they cost as much as a tank of fuel for the car.

Personally I'm looking for something which offers maximum protection and good looks, not to much to ask is it?

So I've decided I'm going to approach a manufactures and do it myself. Does anyone on here have ay contact in this field??

very difficult to get someone to make in small numbers or for individual pairs. maybe worth giving us an idea on what you like? any examples of gloves you like/ consider as good looking gloves? what you budget is? etc etc. between the lot of us im sure we can recommend a pair of gloves for you.

Give Paul at It's Just Cricket a call. He's got a really good selection of gloves and loves to do a deal!

If not, then I've been looking here; http://onlinestockist.com/ULTIMATE-All-White-Light-Weight-Cricket-Batting-Gloves-UNBRANDED-P2714386.aspx

These look a lot like my Newbery SPS gloves.

Willostix are fairly plain. Of the sponsors Paul Aldred's gloves look very impressive

Newbery SPS1 are the best on the market for me at the moment.  Just cannot fault them.  Good value for money compared to some others too... http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-batting-gloves-c20/senior-batting-gloves-c21/newbery-sps1-batting-gloves-p661

We have finally sorted the photography on our website of the softs, if you haven't seen them already then please take a look - these seem like the sort of thing you're after. Plain with a touch of excellence.
