Applying new stickers/ removing old ones
« on: June 18, 2013, 04:19:35 PM »

Sorry if there is already a topic on this, so if there is my bad!

Basically just got a hold of some Newbery Cadbury stickers, and want to stick them on to a bat i already have (has stickers on already) , I know about removing the stickers by using a hair dryer, but is there any way you can take them off without leaving residue/imprints of the old stickers on the bat without having to sand the bat down? If sanding down the bat has to be done, any idea of the grade of sandpaper needed?

thank you

To avoid too much sanding, use an organic solvent such as white spirit to remove the glue residue.

After you've removed the stickers and any resdue use something like 240 grit sand paper. There is no real need to use anything realy fine like 600 grit wet and dry
