Newbery C6+ can this be fixed?
« on: June 18, 2013, 08:30:33 PM »

I emailed Newbery with pics but they didn't reply so I assume they think it's a waste of time.

It's such a shame because the bat goes like hell (as you would expect being a C6+ and all).

Although saying that I bought a £75 bat from MSR and scored 76 with it on Saturday including four sixes.

Going to need a lot of glue and dowelling.  Kieron from bulldog repaired my mates Newbery uzi c6+ in a similar condition.

I see. Mine is a Uzi as well. A local cricket shop does repairs for £20, so I might visit them if this can be done.

Ryan i suppose youre the right guy to ask, what exactly is dowling? and what effect does it have during a refurb? Looks like a top job youve done there aswell mate.

Newbery would not repair it for you as they would not be allowed

Newbery would be allowed to glue and dowel the blade. I expect that they would not rehandle it with a new C6+ handle now that they are deemed illegal though.

That's what I thought too

Oh, my bad, I thought it went for a bat as a whole. Thinking about it, I probably  heard about that is regard to the Kookaburra carbon bats

My local cricket shop are going to repair this for £25.

I'll post pictures once I get it back.
