What cleft would you choose
« on: June 21, 2013, 03:00:07 PM »

I have been given the following three options for a cleft to be made for a bat that my girlfriend has kindly offered to buy as a birthday gift. I have already decided which one I would want. So I thought it would be interesting to see your choices.

I am a RH bat

Middle for me too - not a great fan of heartwood. It's all down to personnel preference at the end of the day

I like more grains but in this case I would say the one the left simply because the grains on that one have a greyish hue to them (more than the others) which i read somewhere a while back was a good thing in terms of performance. Now i can't proove that its correct assessment but for some reason that has stuck with me.

Far right probably. Wouldn't entertain the one on the left

I would go for the first one (left). Really want to try a bat with a bit of heartwood.
