Help with new kit!
« on: June 23, 2013, 10:49:03 AM »

Hi guys,
Brand new to the forum, so have been trawling through many posts over the last few days but yet to find what I'm looking for. I'm getting myself setup for the Aussie season & on the lookout for a new kit & need some help with recommendations please!
Essentially I want a new bat, couple pairs of gloves & bag with a budget of around $400-500 (roughly £240-300), with the gear shipped to Melbourne.
I'm not fussy with brand, just want great quality gear.
With the bat, I like a light bat, somewhere around 2.7-2.9 with a high middle, and with the gloves & bag, need a decent size bag, I carry plenty around & solid gloves that are comfortable & have good protection.
Any recommendations on gear or ideas of who I can contact would be greatly appreciated. If I've missed out any info that might help, let me know.
Cheers guys

I'd go for Puma batting gloves as they have top protection and are ridiculously comfy!

Bat wise, I reckon you would be better off getting something custom made over here and having it shipped over. Or buying from somewhere like ItsJustCricket over here who hand pick all their bats.

Hope this helps

Looking at the site sponsor bulldogs site. For all of the above will come to about 350 uk pounds.

But he has sales/deals occasionally both on here and twitter, so send him a message and he may be able to sort you out everything you need for around 300.
