Should I or shouldn't I?
« on: June 25, 2013, 03:44:38 PM »

Hey guys, I've been looking around for a while now for a new stick and still can't decide. My preferred option is the GM Octane Original LE, but I've also seen that Cricket Direct offer Gray Nicolls custom orders aswell (I like the look of the oblivion). Any advice?

I don't speak for all but i've had some pretty miserable times with Cricket Direct.

What ever you do, I wouldn't order from cricket direct.

I'm sure custom GN's are available through Vitas Cricket or Uzi Sports, who are both forum sponsors and offer great customer service.

we are £25 cheaper than Cricket Direct on Gray Nicolls custom made orders, we also offer free delivery.

I am also usually able to get you pictures of 2 or 3 clefts for you to choose from after you have made payment.

PM me for a chat mate.

Avoid cricket direct at all costs! The worst service ever. Rather use Vitas, IJC or Uzi.

I've seen a few Octanes being used, and they were really nice, a little hard pressed, but they perform and pick up nicely. Only bad thing about the Octane though is the skinny handle, I prefer just one grip! You can't really go wrong with a GN custom though, some of the Dynadrives are HUGE! :D I would probably think of another retailer besides Cricket Direct though, heard some bad things from them!
