Best top 6
« on: July 07, 2013, 04:43:11 PM »

Who do you think has the best top order for the Friends Life T20 competition?

Notts             or             Somerset
1. Hales                          Tresco
2. Lumb                          Kieswetter
3. Wessels                      Trego
4. Taylor                        Petersen
5. Hussey                       Hildreth
6. Samit                         Buttler

For me,
Notts edge the opening partnership with the form Lumb is in
Somerset have a much better 3 and 4 for T20
5 and 6 is even

Am I being a bit hopeful mentioning Hants?  :D

Carberry
Vince
Adams
McKenzie
Ervine
Dawson

3 of them have played international cricket , two of them played for England U19's , and Adams is very good when on form! Carberry also seems to be on fire in OD cricket at the moment!

I personally don't think Dawson is in the same class as the rest of the names mentioned!

Yeh , Dawsons batting can be a bit on and off at times , he has peaks with brilliant performances and then has a long low time. I guess you could also argue he's in as an extra bowler though in case someone else is having a bad game!

I know a lot of people on other forums who think Dawson is one of our players of the future , and I've got to admit , he has come on quite a bit the past couple of seasons after being put down to the seconds for a while.

I have to go for Yorkshire actually.

Root
Gale
Lyth
Bairstow
Balance
Rashid

All quality batsmen, and the ability to cover enough overs that you can have another one at seven...and no johnny foreigners either!
