bb LE Batting Pads

Ok so having stitched my GN batting pads back together to get me through winter nets I decided it was time to invest in some new ones (let's face it any excuse). Having seen Dave's (pro cricket) kit I really fancied some SS 'embossed S' pads, having tracked some down and a few mails expressing that they weren't Indian small men's (I'm 6'2) I made a purchase - surprise surprise when they rocked up.....Indian small men's!
Sending them back left me with some money burning a hole in my wallet and the forum sponsors producing some great softs I made the odd enquiry. Tai dropped me a line and mentioned the bb boys had just received some of there 2014 LE range, would I be interested - having picked up a bat during the close season I know the quality of the gear the guys sell, so replied with a couple of queries. A few minutes later a couple of pictures arrived, that was me sold - not sure whether you've seen the sample pads that were for sale (

) but the simplicity of the branding of the final versions really caught my eye and a real improvement.
As with the bat I bought the pads arrived in the next day or 2 safely wrapped, as I tore into the packet like a fat kid at Easter I wasn't left disappointed - having seen the style of the pad before but never tried any on I was a little unsure as to how comfortable they would be as I remember wearing some light weight pads on a tour match years ago that felt non existant, but these babies are so comfy owing to the materials, shape (especially around the foot) and the movable padding that shapes around your leg. If i was asked to some them up in one word it would probably be elegant but in a under stated way.
Anyway enough of my ramblings, below are a few photos from when they first arrived - as mentioned I've had them for a couple of months give or take but wanted to wait until they were released onto the market before posting. The only thing I'd say finally is the bb team are a pleasure to deal with, know there stuff and I look forward to seeing what else is in store for 2014!
