Last night I saw a new Facebook group that had started the week previously.  It was run by Asics and they have just opened an outlet shop in the Designer Outlet/MacArthur Glen in York.  Thought I'd drop them a message to see if they were stocking cricketing footwear and they have come back and said that they are.  Hoping to get up there over the weekend to see what they have in stock.

Does anyone else have an Asics outlet and, if so, are they good prices?

This is music to my ears! My 13 year old Puma's are definitely in their final season now and I fancy replacing them with some of the Asics in the winter.

I hope the shop survives to then!

I was at the one in Braintree? I think, when I was staying in Colchester, and I got a pair of 150no's for 10 quid, they had gel advance 3s for 12 quid, but only in a few sizes! Luckily I'm an 11 so was in luck!

After putting my Puma's in the washing machine yesterday due to the "extreme" weather, I opened the door to find them in 6 pieces each so had to get a new pair! After remembering this post I nipped upto the outlet in York and picked up a pair of Asics 180 Not Out boots for £45. Whilst not a bargain, still a good price to have them in my hand now. Lad on the desk was a cricketer too!!

All depends on timing i guess. End of season, new boot coming out will find cheaper old stock available.

yup right at the end of the season when they came into stock they were reasonably priced but by the time the season came around they were stupidly cheap!
And having the Adidas outlet just around the corner meant picking spikes is rather difficult at times!

Im going to an outlet, just outside of Manchester in a couple of weeks, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, I think. Last time i went an Asics outlet had just opened, saw some bargain spikes for around £30ish werent the top ones or anything but would do the job for the price of them, also they did have some normal asics running shoes at £20 that might of been worth getting them spiked up, thinking about it...

I went a few weeks back, must say I was pretty disappointed with all the sports shops there, asics shop was only small, with no real great price reductions
