My Christmas present. A very special one as this is the first bat my lovely wife has ever bought me. This was the biggest surprise she has given me in the 12 years we have been together.

This is a phenomenal bat. Light, balanced, lovely middle (soft as I like them) and very big.

Did anybody else get some Christmas cricket treats? That looks like a lovely bat Yash. Did the wife go out and buy this herself?

She had this organized through Lukey's Sports. Lukey knows what I look for in my bats and had this organized very swiftly.

I was going to say, you'd have a right keeper (well batsman?), if your Wife knew what specs to look for in a bat!

I have a question about the M&H. Looks like a monster but does anyone know what is on the face??? One of my bats has similar markings and it flies .....

M&H do not give the final finish like most other bat makers give with the wax and chalk compound.

Also they oil and knock the bat in. The marks on the willow are oil marks - possibly where the willow has absorbed more oil.

Just my thoughts.

Maybe there is another reason to the spotting on the willow.

Very nice bat mate. What's the weight?

That is my one problem with M&H is there presentation and finishing. This would have cost over £400 ( I know you have links with lukey so this may not have cost full price) but to then get the bat in that condition looks wise to me is poor. The benefit to using a wax polish is that it sells the moisture in and also gives the bat a great finish. Not to much to ask really from M&H for bats that command top dollar all through there range. Also how's this finishing and sanding on this bat?
