My kit for summer season 2013/2014 and winter 2014
« Reply #615 on: April 03, 2014, 10:52:25 AM »

Hi all,

I saw a photo from Vitas showing some lovely bats of his on another topic and it got me thinking that i should put something together with photos of my kit for the Australian season just passed and for the winter season i am playing. Firstly the Bats.

I have 5 bats in my kit bag. For those that dont know the bats. IN order from left to right.

Lekka HMX Signature. Gabba Glide Custom. Kookaburra Viper Pro Players. 666 Cricket (from James again) TPX profile and The last bat is the Hillrich Sports Red Python.
I was sponsored by Hillrich sports for the first half of my season and did have 2 of the red pythons but sold one as you can see i have more than enough  ;)
My main match bat was the Gabba Glide Custom which i hand selected the willow and was made to exactly how i want it.
The Lekka HMX i did a review only a few weeks ago for those who are interested and will be using it during the winter season. The Kooka Viper Pro Players was a gift was Cameron Boyce, Queensland Bulls leg spinner after i cleaned up his bats for him (bat refurb).

The 666 was given to me by James to test out. I will be using it in t20 cricket and some one day cricket in those closing overs.

The pads I used for the season were from Hillrich sports
They were the Safi and the ACE.
The SAFI are the ones on the left which i used in long form cricket (2day games)
The ACE were the ones i used in Limited overs cricket. These pads are considerably lighter than the SAFI but do not skimp on the protection.

I used 4 pairs of gloves for the summer season, 3 sets of the Hillrich sports SAFI gloves below and 1 set of Champ gloves.

The below gloves are the new Lekka gloves that James has given me to test for him. They have xtrax palms and have poron in the thumb piece. These gloves have been finished rough as they are only a prototype and assume they will be finished properly once they are put into mass production. They look to have good protection and as i haven't used them i can only go on the looks of them but they look to provide quality protection

I hope you all liked the gear and I am happy to answer any questions you may have on the gear

Cheers

Mine is the Hits Hard only.

His bats are (l-r) Salix Falx Players, MSR 2.5, Salix FERA G1 and a Bombora G2 from Pidge which is awesome :)

Someone threw up the eBay link to both the other day. Only took two days to get here too. Gotta say they are auality bits of kit. I wouldn't pay more than they are up for now tbh but they are miles better than anything else I've seen

I'd love the wheelie but it'd be a waste to buy one to store my spare kit in, I only really need a duffle

I've got a perfectly good Blueroom bag :), so technically both are a waste. However... New and shiny !
