Hi chaps, I'm new! Based in Bristol, I play for the Uni of the West of England and a local club here. I've lurked about and read the forum occasionally out of interest/seeking for information for a while now, but thought I'd actually join. Here's my current kit by way of introduction:
Puma Chromium pads and gloves, Masuri Test with a Slazenger ti grill, bats are an MSR premier (left) and Phoenix Black (right).

Ah, small world! Was a good close game, sadly we didn't get quite enough batting first and paid the price. 3 wickets was the margin I think. Did you play thecord?

Haha, we won a close game but I was injured so not playing and therefore can't comment on the gear front!

I am reaching out to you since you are a rare actual owner of a Mongoose Torq that I have come across. I am keen on that bat since I can get my hands on a Premium Torq for relatively less price. I am quite keen on your feedback of the stick.

My profile: Lower order batsman, technically challenged
My bat requirements: Light bat with decent pickup, Grade 3 or above willow.

Is that msr bat a little lacking in width compared to the other bat?

It does look that way in the photo, think it's just the bat being turned slightly! Compared them face to face and they look the same width.

Boys now on tour i believe, sadly our game again your lot was rained off pre-season. Will have to make do with an indoor fixture again in the Cric8's

Those O'Farrel boys love a bit of indoor!

Yep, I haven't gone on tour due to uni commitments but sounds like I haven't missed much cricket - they didn't play a game! Was a shame the pre-season game got cancelled, had a good close t20 game at your place couple of weeks ago though.

Byo - Twyford House I take it? I wasn't playing sadly (Wednesday team made it through, I play Thursdays). Enjoyed watching it a lot though... (sorry haha)
