GN Ignite 5 Star
« on: August 26, 2009, 06:24:11 PM »

Just found a bargain. 14 grains, 2lb 10 with a very nice feel. Fairly meaty edges and middle. The best part? £120. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Arthur

I have bought it, haha, got it in Romida today. Have to say I'm very impressed. Slightly confused with Gray Nic's willow grading though!

I didn't see any coffins, and they seemed to be running low on some bats, the top of the range ones mostly. Having said this they did have some very nice ones, such as this ;) This was the one in Maghull by the way, and the nicest bat I saw was a 17-18 grain Puma Iridium, Flintoff's charity one, but it was £270.

Looks a decent stick, as you mention the Flintoff bats I've been to a couple of retailers recently and been quitely impressed with the quality of the Pumas, the Flintoff and Gilly models in Owzat are the stand out bats in the shop without doubt.

I didn't see this one in truth, my brother picked it out for me. Yeah there was a lot of Adidas stuff, but I couldn't be bothered taking all the bats out of those covers! All the top range Kook, GM and GN stuff had gone, as had their softs. Guess it's down to the sale/being end of season.

Yeah I think the Leatherhead store is still open, it's one of the big ones I think, Maghull is pretty small.

Yeah sort of. Haven't played senior cricket for them, only U17s as they're short and my mate is their captain.
