Pre Season Training ideas/drills
« on: July 18, 2013, 10:41:09 AM »

I'm club captain for Brunel Uni this year and will therefore be running our training sessions until after Christmas when our coach comes in.  Does anyone have any good ideas for drills or sessions that we can do? Was thinking of focussing mainly on fielding and strength & conditioning and not introducing nets until a month or so in?

Anyway any advice will be appreciated... but we are training in a smallish sports hall although there is a possibility of going outside for fitness.

Have you had look at the Pitch Vision website. I've found some useful drills there to help with prematch warm ups.

If you do strength and conditioning, best to keep it relatively cricket specific.

You do know that skippering means you have to stop falling sleep in the field, dontcha?
