I bought it off you Jamielsn, Lovely bat with a small middle that got me few fifties but sold it on later.

Exactly the same experience as me then!

I bought an unused GN Legend for $300 off a bloke, was an absolute plank. On sold it again for $150 to a fella in my team and he found it to be a plank as well. Gave him my paradox to try and haven't seen it since!

Quite a few fella's on here then who have had bad experiences with the so called Legend from Gray Nicholls, wonder why they appear so bad are they pressed to lightly or just not as resposive as you would expect for a bad costing around the 300 pound mark or more.

Has anybody used or seen anyone using any of the new retro line from Slazenger as i did think of getting a V12 or V6 at the start of the season but money for them was too high.

BAS a few years ago it was a shocker I just could not use it. A team mate still uses it now and really likes it so it was probably due to it being the wrong shape and balance for me than anything else.

In my opinion BAS are probably the best all-round quality Asian bats! Closely followed by SS and CA (CA were always let down by their handles in the past!
Granted that some of the stickers leave a lot to be desired......but the quality and performance of the bats themselves are generally excellent!

With the Legend I had (and sold on) the willow was excellent and there was no question that the middle was decent! But I simply didn't get on with the profile too well, middle position and the way it felt!

Anybody just though a bit of bad batting might be the cause of these bats not performing as expected???

I think 90 per cent of bats all perform the same

So tempted to go through this thread and check the for sale.

Be interesting to see if someone posted not liking a bat or felt it was a fence panal only to sell it as "a gun out the middle"

GM Purist Original for me (sorry Colesy!)
Performed brilliantly for a few months but was the first and last bat (touch wood!) that ever properly broke on me so the overwhelming feeling I had about it was disappointment.
