Bat recommendations for £150
« on: July 25, 2013, 09:58:59 AM »

My friend broke his bat getting 80 odd in a midweek game last night and is in the market for a new stick.

Any forum sponsors have anything special at £150?

Hi Mate,

If your friend can stretch his budget to 170 pounds. I can make him a beauty of a bat as per his specifications. This will include a padded bat cover and I will full oil and knock in the bat in the same price.

Worth ringing to see if they have any devil models about, can't remember the price of them though.

As for online stockist, I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure, I've heard bad things about them and their customer service. Worth checking their FB twitter before using them, think there are a few unhappy customers who post on the walls/comments.

He seems to like this for £139 posted. It's double the price from cricket direct.

I've had stuff from OnlineStockist before; the quality of product was good as was the price for Sareen Sports stuff, but I did have to wait a couple of weeks for delivery.  Service wise, the chap I was corresponding with was helpful most of the time, though there was a period of 2 or 3 days in the midst of shipping where I got no response, the rest of the time he was upfront and decent.

That said, for £150, I'd be looking to B3 I think.

Buy from a forum sponsor. They can all cater for your price range. Ask and see what they can offer.

^ This! I've not been here long but looking over threads and looking at plenty of pictures they all seem to offer a quality service at reasonable prices.

Hi mate, I am going to the Sussex vs. Australia game on Sunday, and while I'm there, I will be popping in to Newbery to hand-pick some more bats, mainly in the 5 Star grade.  This is significant because we sell these bats for £149.99.  If you fancy a hand-picked Newbery bat, and are prepared to wait until next week for delivery, please send me a PM!
