Correct bat size
« on: July 26, 2013, 03:42:53 AM »

Hi,

I am 6'4 and I was wondering if a long blade bat would suite be better to a usual short handled bat? Thoughts?

It's all down to how it feels!
Once you are over 6'2 you are the right height for long blade/handle!!
The likes of Roco on here converted to long blade and won't use normal SH now.
Tim and myself are around the 6'3/6'4 mark too and we both use SH.
I may try a LB over Winter in the nets to see if it feels better!

I would say that if you are not crouching too much, or suffering from back issues. Plus you are digging most of the Yorkers out ok, then why change?
Maybe give a longer bat a try in the nets one day and see how it feels if you're curious?
