Relatively inexpensive performance laminate?
« on: July 27, 2013, 10:18:00 AM »

Hello,

I have been reading about the different types of laminates using the search function and to say I have become fascinated with them is an understatement.  I find it really intriguing that the performance aspect of of a cricket bat can be improved with a few procedures.

The reason that I am creating this topic is the hope that a bat maker can create a performance laminate for me with a tighter budget. I have been quoted around the 300 GDP mark and with the way the Australian dollar is performing against the British Pound sure you can understand not wanting to drop half a grand on a bat. So I would like to purchase a grade two laminate bat which I hope will be more affordable.  If anyone is able to provide this service then could they please get in contact.

Thanks for your time in reading,

Jacky

Why is a performance laminate bat going to make you score more runs than a normal bat??

These aren't the performance lams anyway though are they? Just Indian/Pakistani lams trying to make a huge bat.

Have a CA 9000 lam that is humongous and weighs only 2.9-2.10.

Sorry just to explain performance laminates are not laminates made for size, they are made with a small piece of wood onto the face of the bat.

I wonder how these performance laminates increase the number of runs you score.

I know Blank Bats a forum sponsor on here had/has them. Send them a PM and in sure they can sort you out

I doubt it will increase runs scored, I think that comes from training and practice.

Quick edit on this - admin as he can't see the sale section is this allowed? If not just delete, cheers.

Think it has gone up to 300 posts to see it now, however that could go down to 150.
