new SF
« on: July 28, 2013, 09:09:00 AM »

thought I do a quick review on my new sf warrior, bought from ebay member batman who was a nice bloke to deal with.
It cost me £150 inc postage, weight is 2'9 with two chevron grips has a 39mm edge with minimal concaving and a long middle.

I'm impressed with the finishing on the bat all smooth with no rough bits which is normally a issue with some Asian bats.
had a quick bat with it yesterday before rain stopped play and it goes very very well, picks up as it weighs to be honest not light but not heavy either.
I haven't counted the grains but I think theres over 25 pretty straight numbers on there. anyway take a look see what you think...

needs more knocking/playing in to get going properly but the signs are good. couldn't stand the stickers so they had to go

I would call that a fair amount of concaving, not a minimal amount... I think there needs to be some sense put into this. A GM Halo or 1885 has minimal concaving - or even an SS pro bat has minimal concaving.

I may have to reach for the trade descriptions act here!! ;)

This looks a decent Asian bat - which may, or may not be genuine as every other SF bat I have seen has come with the branding burnt into the edges - how do you know? you have just picked it up from someone on eBay, rather than a geniune retailer.

i'm not sure the bloke isn't a genuine retailer, he has a lot of stock for sale, most Asian brands. and I think procricket on here has had a lot of dealings with him. plus the hologram looks the real deal.

Yep - I thought the SF bats were side branded (a la Gray Nicolls) as well! Like below....

Last few SF's that I have seen have only had a sticker on the edge instead of a stamp. Friend of mine just got a warrior that has the sticker on the edge and no stamp, lovely bat.
