want to keep it a virgin and admire its beauty forever and ever but unfortunately will have to break its virginity this year  . If you go by a grain per year, it would have taken 23 years to be in its current form .

not bad, once upon a time i bought bats from a local seller, one of them had around 20 and one butterfly bat from Steve, MSR, 2.11lb , gave away to a nice guy who kept asking for a nice bat

Nope, as you're probably aware I don't make bats or source my own clefts which I'm always very upfront about - whilst Neon is really starting to take off, it is still run alongside my 'career' so making bats just isn't an option for me (and I certainly don't have the awesome skill required!).

I'm just in the fortunate position of having a very strong relationship with my supplier which has been built up over many years, thus enabling me to regularly get hold of some very good bits of willow!

Thanks. They do look good. I wasn't making trouble;  was genuine enquiry. Some 'outsourced manufacturing'  does work like this, I believe?

Cheers    Yes indeed, there's very few that control the whole process in house - kudos to those that do though, bat making from start to finish is an art without doubt!

No, I meant, for example, a 'manufacturer' like Newbery might have a supply of willow delivered to the real manufacturer? A real manufacturer known to you, perhaps.

I was only saying because your willow looked so good. Mind you, I believe you have to buy a fair amount to get much grade 1?

it is quite a light bat  (2.7)  considering the specs it comes with. 38mm edges, 25mm toe and minimal concaving.

Ah right I get you, no it's purely down to what I'm sent by my supplier
