Being able to guess the maker of an old bat with a old style toe based on grains and the camber of the face is a big ask.

Yes an unfair test. I was impressed by the freshness and the quality of the face after a light sand. It's a B. Warsop from around 1930. Got it from a junk shop in Islington for a few quid,

Before they moved out to Essex, they apparently used to get on the train at London, wait til they saw suitable willows out of the window, get off at the next stop and chop some down. Don't think the farmer would let you do that nowadays 😂😂😂
