Slazenger V145 duffle
« on: July 28, 2013, 07:57:42 PM »

Had a quick search but didn't find much. I was wondering whether anybody on here has used or still have the Slazenger V145 duffle bag? Seems quite spacious but would like to have some second opinions and if possible real life pictures etc as I find it hard to judge how much space there is in duffles.

Any help would be great, thanks

Not got or used that specific bag but I use a duffle for training. If I were to use it for a game then I would need to take clothing etc in a separate bag. They are good bags and do a job but all depends how you travel I guess. They provide a space saving alternative in cars

I've got a Surridge duffle at the moment which is alright but the zips have broken! A benefit of this one is there seems to be a few more compartments. After using duffles I'd struggle to get a wheelie again! Which duffle do you use?

An old Slazenger one. Had it for ages! Just has the main compartment which houses most things with my helmet hanging on the bat handle as it doesn't quite fit in. Then has 1 zipped compartment on the side

I've got the V360, which is this years version of the V145. It's the same bag but imo looks nicer with the black and red.

The bag itself is pretty good. It's got a helmet compartment, 1 front compartment and the main compartment. There's also a small valuables compartment and a side drinks mesh holding. I normally put my thigh pads, gloves, bit and bobs in the front and keep my pads + pads in the back, with the helmet in its compartment.  There's probably enough space for keeping gear as well, the bag is large - probably too large for a duffle.  That's my main criticism of the bag, it is slightly too big to carry comfortably, and the back/straps could be padded a bit more! Oh and there isn't a bat pocket/holder, so the bat does knock around sometimes.

Haven't played too much this year so can't comment on the durability, but it's held up well so far despite limited use.

Hello mate, if you were able to put up some picture of your bag that would be greatly appreciated! I did find that video on Google, first thing that came up actually. I did think that about the bats compartment which then made me thinking about getting one of Woodworm's larger duffle bags instead. I can't be dealing with having a massive wheelie but duffle's are fine by me and I prefer them bigger so I have more space!

I have the BoomBoom duffle from this season and it was ok 2 bat pockets but you can tell the cost where quite low as the zip have bust already and its about 2 months old, and like someone else mentioned the duffle is good for training but not for match days as you do look abit silly with your whites in a seperate bag and carrying your shoes as well,
my opinion get a goodsize stand up bag instead was looking at the new Gray nicholls legend as such a bag, as the guys at Vitas have seen them already and seem to think they look very good and better quality then last year.

hope this helps

I'm sure the zips always break! I have the Surridge duffle and I manage to fit my whites and spikes in there as well and I wouldn't say it is the biggest. I think the reason I stick to these are that they're a far less pricey option and can be a good money saver!

I think It's Just Cricket and Jason (Hammer) have done youtube reviews of the V360 which I believe is the same design just different colours.

I've got one. Happy with it but I'm a fussy so and so. Pads plus strippers is a tight fit. The large pocket is too large. Ideally they should make the 'pads' pocket deeper to make two large compartments while having two bat sleeves down the sides. If anyone makes one like this please let me know.
