Great memory
« on: August 01, 2013, 11:54:32 AM »

Just found this as we clear stuff out as we are doing some renovations don't want to throw away memories like this by accident. What a great off season 1999/2000 taken in mr Warnes restaurant in the Melbourne casino. Very lucky people to have had these opportunities seems a different lifetime away now. I know we have more somewhere in the house. Not the most un talented crew in the world myself exempt.

Yes we went over and stayed mith my derbyshire team mate Michael slater and his ex wife and travelled with the Aussies. They looked after us brilliantly learnt alot from them and returned the favour when they came over here and sorted team meals for them etc. happy times. We met them in Melbourne and then travelled with them from there

Well you can't buy experiences like that, you're lucky to have had the chance. Seems a lot of booze on the table so I assume it was the night before a ashes test :)

I remember being sat by that window and suddenly every so often I'd feel heat across my back couldn't work out what it was. I was sat in line with one of the huge gas torches that sat outside the window and they flared up every 20 mins or so and the heat was incredible even inside 15 yards away. The casino was quite new then.
