playing in a derby game
« on: August 03, 2013, 08:40:24 AM »

Big game today, teams are about a couple of miles apart. I play for steep cc, and we are up against Petersfield today.
we see quite a bit of the oppo around town etc. and needles to say they are well up for it. too much so if you ask me.
We should win in are current form and we have a few players playing well. my avg. is over 50 so hoping to get a few today.

I think they will have a fair bit to say on the field, whats the best way to deal with this? here is a link to our league table...

Just ignore the chat and let your cricket do the talking mate.

On another note you aren't that far away from me

Give them it back mate

Shout really loud from the none strikers end to the other batsman that the bowler is the worst bowler in the league and can't bowl.

Do it EVERY ball

Within 1 or 2 overs the umpires should call yourself and opposing team captain together and say that's enough of the chat and the rest of the innings should be nice and peaceful...... Until you get out!!! Then expect a barrage of abuse
