T-webbing vs "full" webbing
« on: August 06, 2013, 06:32:06 PM »

Hey guys, as title suggests can anyone give the advantages and disadvantages of both types of webbing on wicket keeping gloves. Trying to decide on which I should get. Thanks.

My personal preference is the T-Webb. Don't know what it is but it just feels 'right' to me. Probably not the case but to me the the catching area feels bigger. I probably won't buy another pair of gloves without the T-Webb!

The full webbing just feels more solid to me, not a deal breaker though

So what you guys are saying is that basically there is no great difference, just a matter of preference....Have you guys had any experience with the T-webbing tearing easily? Thanks guys for the replies thus far.

Thanks again guys for all the advice. Which would you recommend the Slazenger Ultimate, the M&H Tan Gloves or the Salix Pod wicket Keeping gloves?

There is absolutely no difference between webbings. Remember that the webbing is there to keep the thumb and index finger at an appropriate distance, not to aid catching. Just keep that in mind when buying any glove. Personally out of those 3, I would go the M&H, tightly cut, nothing to get in the way and looks like you could get a nice feel of the ball with them.

I've been using the T-Web since the regulations changed on the cup size and find it less restrictive for movement of the thumb.
