Cricket Olympics
« on: August 09, 2013, 01:16:34 PM »

We are camping at the ground on Saturday and I've said I'd organise a few games for the guys. Apart from the obvious stump race, anyone have any ideas on activities to do in the evening?

We have a bowling machine so I wanted to do furthest hit and highest catch and I also wanted to try longest throw. I did start thinking about some kind of relay race around the outfield using cricket bags which could be laugh.

All suggestions welcome

egg and spoon race, only with a cricket ball instead.

If you're competing maybe give everyone a serving spoon and pull out a ladel for yourself.

Longest hit batting the wrong way. So right handers take left handed guard

Thanks guys, some good ideas here although the blindfold is perhaps a little extreme :) I had thought about making this a big course so:-

4 people start
Down half a pint
Put on full batting kit
grab Egg (ball) and spoon, and race to the other side of the ground
Down half a pint, spin 10 times around a stump
Grab a kit bag and race back.
Try not to be sick

The obvious stump race is down a pint, run to the stump, forehead on, round 10 times run back and then next goes?

Do you know how to play 'spoons'? That's always a laugh if you have someone who doesn't.
