Bat grips

What grips do you guys use?

I normally use a spiral grip (with another random grip underneath) but like the idea of having a single thicker grip like this- http://www.gm-cricket.com/range/accessories/shockabsorba-grips.aspx

octopus grip underneath, chevron on top. Feels like I have a good amount of grip but the octopus below makes it feel slightly soft to grip. Perfect combination for me.

I have used the shock absorba before but found that the bottom hand bits tend to get torn easily.

All sorts at the moment. Really depends on the original handle of the bat.

For example on the SS I have one scale grip seems too thin but two grips seem too thick so need to use a thin/ cheap grip underneath.

MB LE, Octopus underneath and hybrid on top feels just right.

Standard gm factory grip underneath, octopus on top for me. I like my bat to feel chunky in my hands so 2 grips works for me.

Would anybody be willing to post a sort of intro to cricket grips ?

I do not have the slightest clue as to the difference between a chevron, octopus, spiral etc. is. Obviously, I can google the various grip names to get an idea of what they look like but that doesn't help me any.

What kind of batsmen for instance like a Chevron vs. an Octopus, or how does a Chevron feel like vs. a spiral ?

aeell, you have seen the grip database. You need to find which you prefer. For which I would say, if you can, pop in to a cricket shop or top and try the different bats as they have the different grips on.
