Perimeter weighting system
« on: August 17, 2013, 09:35:38 AM »

At 1st Grade pre season training today, one of the older boys gave me one of his Slazenger's that he has stopped using, but for the life of me I cant remember the name of the bat (Its stickered as a Kahuna). Its the one with the two big chunks of wood on both edges. Can anyone help me out?

V800 second edition. The original had a couple of scoops on the back and GN sued.

The original V800 was from about 1996, so well before the iblade.

Oops! Sorry... Didn't think Vettori was around at that time, but given his debut date, it's very possible.

So, this is the bat you're talking about:

Which is an evolution of the i-Blade.

This is what I was talking about:

Dug out my iBlade. It was a fairly cheap one that's had a few nets. Quite surprised by the rebound when I got it out this evening. It felt better than I remembered. Here are a few pictures:

I must be a stout traditionalist, as I find any sort or gouge or perimeter weighting ruins the look of a bat for me, regardless of how it plays. How shallow I must be!
