“I have had a fantastic partnership with adidas for 11 years. I have been using their clothing and shoes. Now, I will use the bat and pads too. The bat that I use now is lighter than the one I used in 1989. But, I have not drastically changed the weight of the bat,” said Tendulkar at the launch of the adidas range of bats and other cricket equipment that will hit the market in four to six weeks.
Adidas India MD, Andreas Gellner, said that inputs from Tendulkar, Australia skipper Ricky Ponting and Indian opener Virender Sehwag would be used to make the customised bats for the market.
