Cricket stores in and around Durham and Newcastle
« on: August 27, 2013, 11:26:31 PM »

Hi guys, I'm popping down south tomorrow, and will be in Durham on Thursday and Friday. Are there any particular cricket stores folk will recommend around the Durham/Newcastle area? There are quite a few, and I'm going around with a mate, so as long as they are good quality cricket stores with a decent stock in at the moment. I'm just looking to browse really, as I've only really been in one cricket store in my life! :-[ I do plan to purchase something special slightly further south from Durham though. ;)

Anyone think I should pay this Lankykeeper a visit too? :P

Thanks in advance.

Incredibly off topic, but I think you're the only person I've ever heard describe Durham as "down south" haha

Seem pretty good

Cheers, already had them in mind due to the huge amount of stock they seem to have on eBay!

Haha I live up in Scotland mate. ;) I rarely get opportunities to go down to England as my schedule is normally packed, but since I've got a railcard now, why not? :D

I'm from Southampton and consider anything further than Winchester to be up North lol, Scotland counts as abroad to me :P

I'm now looking forward to seeing pictures of what you end up with while you're on your travels mate :)

Ah right haha. Yeah, kind of is, and kind of isn't. ;)

Yeah, I was planning to organise something like a net or a group visit, but this was kind of a last minute thing, so couldn't really do so! If anyone is around Peterborough tomorrow (Wednesday), drop me a PM! Going to visit Vitas Cricket, so would be nice to meet another forum member. :)

Thanks Tony, I tried to reply to your PM, but your inbox is full! I'll find out what I'm going to be doing in Durham first, if I'm free on the Thursday afternoon/evening, I would love a net and I'll give you a shout!

Cheers
