Broke my Biggest Kahuna in the nets batting against some rubbish quality balls.
Massive chunk came off the bottom (same happened to two others).
Got it repaired by a guy at Doosra Sports in Leicester, and what a genius he is.
This is the 2nd bat I've had repaired with this 'bandage like' wiring and it works so so well!

Anyone else seen it?







Note: Bat was 3lb and before using it, I got it reduced to 2lb 11oz by V Sports

There is a lot of glue in there and it is very firm, just bad photography lol

The old guys use to do this to broken bats or the toe.
Bind some sort of string at the bottom.

Raquet strings they are I think. We used to do that back in India. They are quite sturdy depending on quality of string and how tight they are wound. I would have put a bit of tape on the face to stop cricket ball from scuffing the string.

I've seen this on some onhand bats around the oxford area. They seem to go pretty well with this stuff on them.

Yep got my first Kashmir Willow BDM bat repaired a few times like that. Badminton Strings indeed and the poor bloke in shop seem to do all by hand. With the new fibre glass tape, didn't realise anyone will still bother with this string binding.
