A friend at my club pointed these bats out to me because my bat the last two seasons was a pellara, I changed to a chase this year.

On prodirect they have a pellara elite xt and a pellara elite, at the price they are at they are quite tempting since I really liked my pellara, but I can't find a description that says what the difference is on there or other cricket sites. Is the difference simply extra thick edges?

That's the only thing I can think of that it might be.

It's supposed to be the exact shape the players (KP in this instance) use. According to what I can remember when they came out. Edge size, a long middle for front foot dominant players and the very best performing willow adidas got their hands on.

Don't quote me on that though. But I'm pretty sure I read that in a trade show leaflet / booklet that RP had in his workshop. The elite is the stock adidas shape. the XT is the players shape. Like GM players edition bats sort of thing.

Can't find anything to suggest its anything else mate... Cricket direct say its a new shape developed in conjunction with KP. Romida have this info too...

I was tracking an XT on eBay a few months back and could not find any information to explain exactly what the XT signified and a justification of the price premium over the standard Elite.
