Starting 1 on 1 coaching
« on: September 07, 2013, 10:17:13 AM »

I am thinking of starting a little coaching program for some local kids. Is their anything in particular I should be offering/I should keep in mind if I go through with this? It would specialise in mostly wicket keeping, batting and I could also offer a bit of Spin assistance.

What level coach are you mate, and how much are you looking to charge. Will give you some insight into what would be expected of you.

Insurance may be an issue if you are not a qualified coach

If you're in Australia mate, I suggest you sign up here as a start and at least get the very basic level of accreditation that's required - http://coaches.cricket.com.au/

It should be free and you'll have to answer a few questions, but it's a start and will have you a little covered. From there you can register to gain more qualifications (and a bonus is you get an accreditation card that gives you free entry to Shield and Ryobi Cup games).
