I'm loving these videos, keep them coming! Just maybe get your offies going a tad bit quicker through the air whilst keeping the flight and I think you shall take a few more wickets.

Your action looks pretty good and you are very consistent with your length. Only thing I can think of is maybe work on becoming a little more consistent with your line, as some most balls were in a nice area however one or to seemed to drift down leg. Keep the videos coming - I'm enjoying them!

looks good, plenty of turn which is really important. alot of younger spinners are told its all about areas(which is correct) but as this becomes the main focus spinning of the ball is sacrificed. focus on turning the ball and the the correct areas will come with practice. your back leg is a little low. try and bring it higher up as if you were doing hurdles (if that makes sense?) and really pivot on that front leg. it will help you get drift on the ball and with the amount of turn you already get it can only help. will agree with the previous post too. if you can bowl it slightly quicker without compromising the flight. the amount of wickets you will get will only increase.
your front arm is lazy take it as high as you can then bring it straight down quickly in to your side as if honking a horn doing this will help you get the correct pace and with this your accurecy should improve.

final thought. if you are thinking of doing one or the other next season GO WITH SPIN!!!! but stick with it dont go changing every game. we have a chap at my club who does this and all he ends up doing is bowling both really badly.

Yeh its ok like .. i only started properly bowling it last year .. and i havnt had many overs in the game as the pro (left arm spinner) bowls a lot so when i bowl i tend to get attacked the most . and the reason its slow is the pro actually tells me to bowl it slower.. But ill see how it comes out when quicker.. You guys not bored of the videos?

i agree to a certain point regarding pace. as this should be adjusted for the type of deck and type of batter your bowling at but as a general rule. quicker is better. as you want the batter on the front foot, driving at the ball. if its slower the batsmen has time to adjust his feet allowing him the chance to put the ball where he likes. if the ball is turning doubt is already in the batsmans mind whether to play or not. with a little pace on the ball you retsrict his options. this you can set a field for.
best person to speak to is your pro. he can advice you on better on this as he can see you 1st hand. you can only get so much from a video. try videoing him and compere your actions.
being a left arm spinner myself i would really like you to keep me updated on your progress.
if you stick to spin bowling you will not be dissapointed!!!!!!

best of luck!!

Cheers mate ill keep pumping them out then ! .. and yeh hes more like round arm so are actions are different and hes been doing it since he was a kid so he lands it on the same spot every single ball .. so in a way i dont think he understands what its like for someone who cant do that all the time

My initial thoughts are...

Try and stay as tall as possible, you are getting turn which is good, but freeze frame 1.05 & 1.09 and see how far you are falling away to the offside.

Stall tall, get a really high right knee coming through and you will get turn and bounce, it's taken me all summer to find something that works for me, basic mechanics but v difficult

The ball between 1 05 and 1 09 is the arm ball so maybe that could be why ? but ill give it a go and see how it works out .. maybe have an update of it on tomorrow depending on weather ! cheers

Just came across this. The pace is crucial, if you consider the pace that the spin bowlers bowl in county and international cricket and still get flight drift and turn then focus on how these guys get through the crease. Spin bowling is still an incredibly energetic action but needs fluency. Stick a small bag at the crease or something about 12-18" high in the crease to start with to make you step over it as you bowl and bowl into a target area focusing on making it spin as well as gaining pace. Eventually the more you get the back leg up and through the crease the more you will gain pace flight and spin. Give it a go practice practice again and them practice some more.

I would love to learn to bowl.

I have been practicing to do leg spin right now, but it is very very very amateurish.

I tried looking on youtube and stuff but they really just teach you about holding the ball, nothing about running in or bowling action.

Anyone got a book lol
