Hi guys, I bought Screaming cat series 1 (Professional grade) from a guy on ebay (Aus) recently and received the bat yesterday. Can you pls. have a look at the pics below and confirm whether it is genuine Screaming Cat. The guy I bought the bat from looked genuine, had sold a few more expensive bats and received good rating. In the description of the bat section he had mentioned that he asked JM for stickerless bat with just his signature on it and hence the bat is blank. The bat profile looks similar to series 1, handle and toe looks similar too, has huge spine which goes straight to the handle, weight is around 2.12 and pickups great (almost like a 2.9.5 or 2.10) pings nicely, came with the bat cover and is almost new with just knocking and a few nets done. Looked like a real deal to me, and with around 40% of the new price sounded great and I went for it. I would like to ask for your opinion if somebody doubts it�s not genuine. It has sellers initials marked on the shoulder. If it�s not original I�ll send it back to the seller and file for return but if its original it would be a lottery.

Just to add the ball taps great anywhere on the bat, pretty much throughout.

Your thoughts pls.

2 spring handle, shoulder stamps and square shoulder all suggest its authentic.

The grip is also the original to what are applied as well as the handle and toe stickers.

Thanks for your feedback Ayrtek, those were the checks I made while purchasing that bat. Asked seller for all the pics and he sent them in bulk without any hesitation which improved his credibility.

yeah hes more likely to reply to an email as i think someone else runs their social media channels.

If it's a fake it's not a sloppy one, the grip looks gen.

Yep, it has 2 grips and both look original along with the handle. I have never used a handle as oval as this one and the way the spine ends up in the handle makes the bat feel lighter. Even with 1 grip the handle is a lot thicker than other bats which I have seen/used (with 2-3 grips).

I can confirm 100% that it is the genuine article as I was the fellow that sold it to you. I can understand your doubts having bought it off eBay but email Julian and mention my name as he has made a few for me and will remember that bat.
If you aren't happy with it, just send it back and I am more than happy to refund your money. I sold 2 Salix's, a Puma Black Edition and an a M&H Amplus at the same time due to a career-ending injury: time to clear out the bat-cave with summer about to start here in Aus. I bought all of these bats over the last season or so as I figured (hoped

) the bat may make up for my crappy technique and poor timing....

I've seen this bat. It is definitely genuine. Mark only buys top shelf stuff. The amount of money he spends on bats is absurd.

Just taking 2'nd opinion from great guys on this forum. I am not planning to send it back to you, was one of the bats on my wishlist, so 1 less there. If you have any other stuff just mail me and there might be something I can have a look at. Hopefully I won't ruin my bank balance further.

My pleasure, Amrit! you have been great to deal with and i'm sure you will love the bat! Scat's have such a long middle in them and it pings really well.
