ECB Club Finals Day
« on: September 13, 2013, 01:29:13 PM »

Just watching the game on sky. Banbury are all using 'Onhand' bats. I've never heard of them before. They look like nice blades from a distance. I know I could google it but thought you guys might be able to tell me a bit more about them.

They sponsor a local player to us, who is on the books at Leicestershire. I've seen the stuff up close, bats look Asian made for sure. Their website (terrible website by the way) doesn't claim English made so most likely Asian. Pads and gloves look pretty bog standard.

Very, very cool duffle bag though. Big, sturdy, 2 bat sleeves either side of the bag which is a great idea.

I had a lam through them.  Ridiculous sized thing and went like a gun.  Seen a couple of players in the Essex League using them this year.

Not sure. Maybe the bag was for sponsored players only, seems odd.

Website is bad though, so maybe hasn't been updated.

Seriously never heard of them, and there website is poor!

Yet there's so many players in this team sponsored? Surely that's a recipe for bankruptcy?
Or is it a deal with there league/just cos there on telly type of thing.

Onhand - performance rebound technology.... Very interesting.... Or marketing (No Swearing Please) for laminated / illegal bat!! That would justify the edge sticker that runs almost the full length of the blade.

Still... No images to see this mystical game improver..... Then again... If it works I want one. NOW!! :)

They are made in Pakistan and are fairly low quality.
Seen so many of them break in handle and some smash into pieces.

Softs are fairly decent for the price I must say

Hmmm so are laminates not illegal at this level? Or should we phone sky now? Lol

To be honest 27for5 ain't a big score, the bats really haven't helped.

Of course they are but loads of players get away with using them... It's not like football when the ref checks your studs... I've never once seen an umpire check a bat. There's plenty of the Kippax laminates in use in our area and the ECB league (Yorkshire) is full of them.
