They are all featured on our website along with RRP'S but to save you all time they are as listed below:-

PremierTek Junior- £54.99
PremierTek-steel- £84.99
PremierTek-titanium- £124.99
RawTek- £249.99

The RawTek still features the acis liner but the PremierTek range all have an eps liner. The junior model is the same size shell but with a thicker eps liner to make the inner circumference smaller and also comes with a smaller size junior steel grille.

We we haven't ruled out introducing the acis back into the range but as using it carries a cost factor it would probably be used at the price point between the RawTek and PremierTek titanium models.

Given we had to fit a 2 year project into a 9 month period we wanted to focus on providing a range we thought ticked all the boxes in terms of quality, price and safety which is a very important factor with the new bsi standard due to be published shortly.

Couple of questions Tom:

1. Will any Adidas sponsored players be wearing the Helmet?
2. Is the eps liner less effective in protection than the acis liner and has any testing been done to compare the two?

Me too. I was looking forward to giving one a bash when my current lid makes it's way to the scrap heap but I can't justify the cost of the top of the range. Hopefully there will be some older models still hiding somewhere :)

Indeed - we have one left! http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-batting-helmets-c14/senior-cricket-helmets-c15/ayrtek-premier-blue-cricket-batting-helmet-steel-grill-p29

But back to the topic of the thread, I was very impressed with these helmets at Lord's - well done, Tom!  :) Despite the lack of the ACIS liner, the weight of the older Premier helmets had been a bit of an issue for us, so seeing that go down considerably is brilliant news, and the prices aren't bad either, especially in the junior option.  I also think the visibility is better than the new Masuri lids, so all good - Ayrtek/Adidas helmets will certainly be on our shelves next year...  :)

thanks paul, as explained in other threads the majority of people didnt even realise that the ACIS was in the helmets as we took the decision (not lightly) under adidas's guidance to only use it in the top end helmet.

we havent ruled out reintroducing it at a later date into the PremierTek range but with what we hope will be a significant uplift in volumes due to the new partnership we needed a product that was easier to mass manufacture and the new range ticked the boxes given the timelines we had.

great to have Stuart on board having meet up with him a few months ago to show him the product. Always nice to hear a pro ask "when do you want me to start using it" but at the time we were still tying down the paperwork so was a bit soon to have him using it until launch occurred on thursday.

we put the yellow pin stripes on as an option that he could remove but he particularly like the fact we could put little touches such as his initials onto the product.

hopefully Q1 has been answered today :) in regards to Q2 the ACIS is very effective in dissipating an impact when combined with the correct shell material to act as the primary point of shock absorption. We have used a different material in the new PremierTek range now we have the EPS liner so results are similar to the ACIS version. We have done research over the last 12-24 months looking at both so no compromise has been made when it comes to what levels are provided to the end user.
