Great day and just to echo what others have said in giving my thanks to Jake and robin. I would urge more forum members to turn up to future events as it is as everyone says "a great day".

Any chance of relocating a bit further South Jake??
Would love to pay a visit one day but it's a bit too far for me to come up with an excuse to visit at the moment  :(

I have some pics which I will post throughout the evening - there were also some very in-depth video reviews made by our celebrity guest.

We learnt many things today:

Redders likes it long and full, and doesn't like it up him
Nick Saunder's 'bad back' prevents him from prolonged spells of feeding the bowling machine
Wilkie is entering into a civil partnership with his Dynadrive
'Nantie' Haywood can't use anything other than GM - if he does, his hands will melt.
Dean Vulcan is not the batting messiah - he's a very naughty boy!
Ryan likes to take Jake 'up the mezzanine!'
Jake does indeed look miserable, but is a delightful lad. He rejoices in the nickname Eeyore - but not because of his sad face.
Bloody students eat all the doughnuts!
Fattus's batting is - like his coitus - a brief, but beautiful thing.

In fact, only one question remains...............................

...........................................................come on boys - who left the floater?

Hey guys thanks to all of you for a great day. A big thanks to Jake & Robin for hosting the event. Thanks to Fattus for driving and providing good company and conversation.

Here are a few pics of some kit bought today, would be rude not to help line the Jake/Robin retirement fund lol

Firstly bought the new Ton Gladiator duffle bag, this bag is amazing for £40, 2 bats pockets, sturdy build and excellent quality heavy duty straps. Holds all my batting gear, keeping gear, 2 bats, helmet and still has space for clothes and spikes.

Second is some TON heritage pads to match my Bag and also TON gloves and bat. Very nice and great value for money.

GM 808 batting gloves, just liked these this year and will match my GM Kit

Finally is a GN powerbow Generation X Strike model. I saw this when I was at Vitas late last year and for the price just had to have this bat. Jake held it for me until today. 2.10 and for a low middle bat has a very good pick up, lovely grains for what I assume is a G4 bat and lovely ping. also has a huge spine and offset edges which although doesn't really wow or bother me is a nice touch on a low end bat.Overall very pleased and a nice addition to the collection.

It was pure curiosity, not me wanting a fully played in bat at a discounted price, honest....  ;)
