Newbery Bats - Pre-Orders - SPECIAL CBF OFFER!
« on: October 01, 2013, 06:53:35 PM »

Evening Guys,

I can confirm that Newbery will be the first on our visit list - set to go down there on October 16th to hand-pick from their new range!  :)

As a sweetener (especially for CBF members), for any Newbery bat pre-orders that we take between now and then, we will offer 25% off (list price) on any matching pair of Newbery batting gloves.

To remind you of our pre-order offer to begin with, please check this thread: http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=26501.0

All we need is a £50 deposit, and then you have a fortnight to decide on your specific bat, weight, grain number, edge size etc.  :)

Prices will be added to this thread on request.

Please PM/email me if you'd like to take advantage!   :)

Cheers,
Paul

The ones at the show were really nice, Jon - very balanced.  Definitely one of the nicer pick-ups in the Newbery range for me.  Not that you need any more convincing though!!  ;)

Hi mate, the pick up on my Kudos is sublime is the best way to put it, I picked mine from a pro pin when I was there about 3 weeks ago and was 2.5 naked with 37mm edge. I picked up about 8 when I was there and had a play about with them all before mallet testing and deciding on my Kudos. They all felt amazing in the hand.

I'm wanting something a bit heavier, Paul said the pick up was really good so I've gone for a 2.15!! They look great as well, bet you were like a kid in a sweet shop  :D

I have a fair collection of bats but this one is something special, the mallet test was amazing and I can honestly see why the few I looked at were from the pro bin. I also bought a new Mjolner whilst I was there based on pick up. I guessed it weighed about 2.9 possibly 2.10 weighed the other day and its 2.13 but feels so good.

With our visit just next week, Kudos pre-orders are coming in thick and fast - had three just today!  :) The Tour has also been a popular option...

For anyone else who's interested, we need your deposits and specs by Wednesday.  The batting gloves offer is still on the table for all bat pre-orders we take between now and then...

Hi Asad, yes they are a little about half inch shorter compared to my thruxton and Mjolner,

Is the handle longer to compensate? ie is it still the same overall size as an SH bat?
