Nike or Puma spikes?
«
on:
October 08, 2013, 01:31:15 PM »
Afternoon all,
What are everyone's views on the Nike and Puma footwear, after years of being completed dominated by Asics down in the South West, adidas fought back last year, and now we're having the tough choice to stock either the Puma or Nike range, has everyone seen the ranges? opinions?
Thanks
James

I'm a bit of a puma whore when it comes to clothes & footwear, so I'm voting for Puma

I have Had adidas 22yards in different models for about 6 years. Switched to the puma pulses this year and they are better than my adidas 22yard lite 4 model i had previously.
The nikes look good for next season tho.

I have the Nike Century II shoes, and they are decent, however I personally think they are not as flexible as they could be and a bit on the heavy side. However looking at the upcoming model and basing it on the running shoe technology, I think they are onto a winner.

Nike for me too. Always reliable and comfortable. I wish they still made their first ever spikes. The blue and white ones. They were amazing!
But TBH, I have a pair of Asics 8-for bowling boots I have used for 10 seasons now, which have turned yellow... - They are still going strong... In quality AND smell!
Think Asics are just the absolute epitome of quality cricket footwear.

Last couple of pairs ive had have been puma and they have been excellent. Really light which is key for a keeper. Couldnt comment on the bowlers boots but i would have a feeling that asics would be best as they probably offer more support.

See now I take size 11 ish, and I found the Nikes really big and clompy - I much preferred the Pumas, both in fit and weight - shame I can't find any on a decent offer at the mo!

Hated my Nike's and loved my Puma's untill I developed foot problems as there was a lack of heel support.
Gonna try NB for 2014!!
