Ryobi cup Ayrtek
« on: October 09, 2013, 02:04:11 AM »

Just watching the Ryobi cup in Aus and Tim Ludeman of SA Redbacks is batting in an Ayrtek.

He's also a keeper so will be interested to see if if wears it to keep as well.

Nah he wears the aero facemask while keeping.

They're not very common here so commentators were giving him a bit of stick about the lid the other day!

Yeah they were knocking him for wearing the mask too. Also briefly mentioned his Ayrtek. I think in the next year they will become more common in Aus. They're already selling them in Greg Chappell Cricket Centre. Add to that the increase in exposure due to Adidas.

Good to hear that its being used and raising the usual interest, he has one for the Redbacks and another for the Adelaide strikers as well.

Adidas have a distributor in Aus that are selling their kit so they are making some signings that will be using the helmets and footwear etc.

Tim was one of them and he loves the product, its early days as we only made the switch to Adidas at the end of August and the Aus season was just around the corner so most players had kit sorted. Hopefully we will pick up others along the way once they see the benefits the product offers.
